Citrotec® participated in another edition of the Global Juice Roadshow 2026, held from May 12 to 13 in Cape Town, South Africa. The event brought together more than 200 professionals and companies from the global juice industry for a program focused on knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions about industry trends and challenges. The initiative was organized by the International Fruit and Vegetable Juice Association (IFU) and Safe Global Fair (SGF).
Recognized as one of the leading international platforms for the juice industry, the Global Juice Roadshow promotes strategic meetings in different countries, connecting specialists, producers, and companies from the sector. In this edition, the focus was on strengthening food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance within South Africa’s juice production chain.
The program featured technical presentations, regulatory updates, and discussions led by international experts, covering topics related to the global market, consumer trends, international trade, and the main challenges faced by the South African industry.
“Participating in an event like this is extremely important to strengthen our presence in the international market, follow the industry’s main trends, and build closer relationships with professionals and companies in the sector. In addition, these meetings provide a valuable exchange of knowledge about innovation, quality, sustainability, and the global challenges of the juice supply chain,” highlights Citrotec® CEO Marcelo Bellarde.
During the event, Bellarde delivered the presentation “Driving Innovation Through Energy-Efficient Equipment,” highlighting solutions developed by the company to increase operational and energy efficiency in the juice industry.
The presentation addressed improvements applicable to both new industrial plants and existing facilities, focusing on process modernization, reduced energy consumption, and enhanced production performance.
The proposal attracted the attention of participants by demonstrating, in a practical way, how technology can contribute to more efficient and sustainable operations.
In addition to the conference program, event sponsors participated in exclusive technical visits to major South African juice and citrus industry operations, including Döhler Group, BronPro Processors Pty Ltd, and Citrus Research International (CRI) — an institution recognized for its research and innovations aimed at the development of South African citriculture.
“These visits added significant value to the event experience because they allowed us to learn about different industry realities and closely follow trends and technologies applied in other markets,” says Bellarde.
Citrotec® International, Citrotec®’s branch based in Florida, United States, was one of the event sponsors, reinforcing the company’s global positioning.
“We are proud to have been one of the sponsors alongside major names in the industry, contributing to the advancement, innovation, and sustainability of the global market,” says Bellarde.
Since the beginning of this year, Citrotec® has been affiliated with the International Fruit and Vegetable Juice Association (IFU). The partnership further strengthens the company’s presence on the international stage and expands its participation in strategic industry initiatives.
As part of its international expansion strategy, Citrotec® intends to intensify its participation in global events, promoting its technological solutions and strengthening connections with partners and clients around the world.
