1st AM Citrotec® Solidarity Run brings together employees and community for a day of sport and solidarity

Event gathered more than 600 registrants in a morning dedicated to promoting health, well-being, and integration.

Running, walking, solidarity, music, and fraternization marked the 1st AM Citrotec® Solidarity Run, held on November 30, 2025. The event gathered more than 600 registrants, including approximately 150 Citrotec® employees, in a morning dedicated to promoting health, well-being, and integration between employees and the community.

According to Citrotec® Administrative Manager, Letícia Sampaio, the initiative arose from the company's desire to hold an event that promoted health and well-being, creating a different moment, encouraging physical activity and conviviality outside the work environment.

“We always wanted to organize a street run. By coincidence, Complexo AM came to talk to me about the possibility of a partnership. From there, the idea matured and the run was born,” reports Sampaio, who has been a triathlete and runner for many years.

The program featured a 6 km run and a 3 km walk. As an incentive, Citrotec® fully covered the employees' registration fees. “Many employees signed up for the walk, but on the day they felt confident and ventured into the run. Many managed to complete the course. It was very cool to follow this,” she comments.

Participants received a registration kit with a t-shirt and squeeze bottle, as well as gifts from partners such as Lupo and Bar do Português. With a solidarity look, registrants were also invited to donate 1 kg of food for abandoned animals, destined for NGOs in the city.

Inspiration and Overcoming

Among the employees, quality analyst Natália Zampieri Prisco highlighted the experience as a moment of overcoming. Initially registered for the walk, she completed the 6 km course running and walking with friends. “Besides the sports part, it was an opportunity to get out of the routine, meet colleagues, and enjoy,” she reports.

Another highlight was welder José Ganzella, known as China, who completed the 6 km run at 76 years old. He has maintained an active routine since his youth and runs about 13 km on Sundays. “Initiatives like this are very important because they encourage health and well-being and motivate people to train all year round,” he emphasizes.

Tax receiver Cinthia Aparecida de Araújo also approved the initiative. “The organization was excellent. Having my colleagues participating together made everything even more special. This ends up encouraging the practice of exercises, which are fundamental for a healthier life,” she states.

Given the good reception, the proposal is to transform the action into an annual event, integrating a broader project of the People Management sector aimed at health and well-being.
